After going through a major revamp in 2005, Fuji Speedway again held the Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2007 after a 30-year hiatus. The new layout was designed by Hermann Tilke, the designer of Shanghai International Circuit and Sepang International Circuit. In addition to increasing the level of safety, the final corner heading into the main straight was made more sophisticated, increasing the level of difficulty. The 1.5 km long straight that was the hallmark of the old course lets you enjoy both competing to slipstream and competing to brake from top speed into the first corner.
