Lexus IS F

Lexus - Toyota's luxury car brand. Although 4 models of Lexus have been available in Japan, with 3 sedan sizes in the LS, GS and IS, and the elegant SC convertible, there has been no premium sports model like those of the rival European premium brands, such as the BMW M series and the Mercedes AMG.

There has therefore been a rush to develop the Lexus IS F, which was unveiled at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. Despite being from the IS line, when it comes to the specifications, the IS F is something else altogether. In particular, the 5-litre V8 engine generates a maximum output of 422 ps and maximum torque of 51.5 kgm. The 8 -speed direct sports shift offers fast shifting comparable to a 2-pedal manual transmission, delivering acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) in 4.9 seconds. The overall width is 20mm wider than the IS, cleanly housing the 19-inch wheels and tyres with 6 pod Brembo brakes.
