BMW M3 Coupe
The M3 is a special 3-series created in order to take the crown in touring car races, made by the M brand of BMW who are responsible for BMW's motorsport participation.
The history of the M3 stretches back to 1985, with the latest model 3-series coupe based on the E92 released in 2007 making up the 4th generation.
Although the engine of the M3 had already evolved from a 4-cylinder to a 6-cylinder due to the high power trend in touring car racing, this model is now equipped with a 4L V8 engine, delivering 420 ps. In order to minimise as much as possible the increase in vehicle weight due to the larger body size, a multitude of lightweight parts have been used, including a carbon roof and aluminum suspension.
While the M3 was created with aims to win in motor sports, the road version is also decked out with equipment that gives consideration for GT performance, such as leather seats and “M Drive”. “M Drive” is an electronic device that provides integrated control of the damper attenuation properties, DSC, traction control, engine power, power steering responsiveness, and other settings depending on the driving stage. Thanks to this, the new M3 has evolved into a premium sports car of the 21st century that combines both outstanding dynamic performance and comfort.
