Suzuki SWIFT Sport

The Swift Sport is based on the 2nd generation Swift, which was released as Suzuki’s globally competitive vehicle, and has a more sporty finish. The Swift Sport can be distinguished externally by the front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, rear spoiler, and dual mufflers.

The engine is a 1.6L M16A. The all aluminum construction, warm-forged pistons, and inclusion of a VVT mechanism make driving in the high RPM range a pleasure, producing the feeling of living up to the “Sport” name. On top of this, Monroe dampers are employed in the suspension.

In line with other global models that are sold internationally, the body shape is available in three-door or five-door types. However, only the three-door model has been released in the Japanese market. The wheels provided are 16-inch or 17-inch depending on the country, and other specifications also vary. In Japan, the Swift Sport has received passionate support from users as it is one of the rare hot hatches, which have become virtually extinct in Japan.
